About Scott
Scott Marshall a Partner at Rivertree Financial Planning.
Scott is originally from West Point, MS. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Accountancy. Scott began his career working as a financial auditor with Ernst & Young LLP in Nashville, TN. After much prayer and counsel, he decided to make an industry shift to financial planning.
As a result, he began working with nationally syndicated talk-show host Dave Ramsey. Scott worked as a Wealth Coach and Financial Counselor with Dave Ramsey in Brentwood, TN.
While he loved his new career, his Mississippi roots called him back in the spring of 2007. He joined Dave Ramsey’s Investment Endorsed Local Provider (ELP) group in Jackson, MS, and began to build his client base. In the summer of 2009, Scott was led to open Marshall Financial Planning, LLC. In the fall of 2013, the company changed its name to Rivertree Financial Planning, LLC.
Scott is a Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Public Accountant. He also holds his Series 7 & 66 licenses as well as his Mississippi Insurance License for health, life and disability. Scott is a Registered Representative with Valmark Securities, Inc., an independent, registered broker-dealer, and member FINRA & SIPC. Scott is also an Investment Advisor Representative with Valmark Advisers, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor.
Scott and his wife Helen currently reside in Ridgeland, MS and have three children: Artur, Taylor and Molly. They are active members of Redeemer Church, PCA in Jackson.
