“Rivertree” embodies our story and mission. Names have meaning and we wanted our name to be a constant reminder to us and our clients of who we are, what we do, and why we do it.
In the first book of the Bible, a river tree is mentioned: “And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers” (Genesis 2:9–10).
Since the beginning of time, rivers and trees have been valuable sources of growth, protection, and nourishment for humans. When people groups searched for an ideal home, they longed to settle near a river tree. Rivers and trees were of great use separately, but together they were the closest thing many of our ancestors got to paradise. For this reason, the garden of Eden was such a gift to the first man and woman. Rather than placing them in a desert to starve and die, they were put in an environment that would allow them to thrive and live.
The idea behind our name is simple: we exist to be a home for people seeking to grow, protect, and give money through sound biblical financial planning.
